Dear IFMSA friends,

It is my honor to address you on behalf of our unique community; the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations, well known as IFMSA.

Our federation is one of the biggest student organizations in the world with an extensive history, huge experience, wide representation, and a wealth of links with other international organizations. Although being a specialty-based body, IFMSA is a major player in various student and youth activities across the world, as medical students but also as youth and community leaders.

While we are experiencing our 56^th year in IFMSA journey, our federation continues to be a source of inspiration; not only in our 98 member countries across 5 continents but also to other international student and youth organizations. IFMSA is the other half of being a medical student; as well as playing our role in the improvement of medical education, IFMSA gives medical students the opportunity to go beyond the medical school and hospital and get the global health picture.

Furthermore, IFMSA understands that health is not improved by medical students and doctors only; many of our activities are organized in cooperation with other healthcare students and youth who are interested in health, keeping in mind: Think Global… Act Local.
