Standing Committees of IFMSA

Medical Education

The Sanding Committee on Medical Education (SCOME) is a forum for active discussion for medical students interested in developing medical education. Our overall goal is the implementation of an optimal learning environment for all medical students around the world.

Public Health

The Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH) emphasizes the importance of public health issues in medical education and the community. The promotion of a healthy lifestyle through the eradication of smoking, improvement in diet and increasing physical activity is our goal.

Human Rights and Peace

The Standing Committee on human Rights and Peace (SCORP) deals with the problems faced by displaced people and participates in relief efforts. SCORP also works for the prevention of conflicts and human rights abuses.

Reproductive Health including AIDS

The Standing Committee on Reproductive Health including AIDS (SCORA) aims to raise awareness among medical students about Reproductive Health including sexual education, gender equity, sexual violence, as well as Sexually Transmitted Infections.

Professional Exchange

The Standing Committee on Professional Exchange (SCOPE) is the largest committee within IFMSA. More than 6000 students worldwide participate in our programme each year.

Research Exchange

The Standing Committee on Research Exchange (SCORE) allows students interested in medical research the possibility to experience research work in a foreign country.
