The IFMSA Seniors Club was formed in 1991 and the first official meeting took place in Aalborg, Denmark (August 2001) in connection with the 50th Anniversary of IFMSA. Since then it has been decided that the Seniors club will meet every five years, during the five-year anniversary meetings of IFMSA.

The membership is restricted to former IFMSA international Officials and the club is coordinated by the Chairman, appointed by Seniors.
