1st International Conference of Medicine Students and Young Doctors on Family Medicine

will take place in Lodz, Poland on 11-12th May 2007

On behalf of the Organising Committee we welcome you to Lodz and especially to our Conference. No one who seriously thinks of the career in the field of Family Medicine should miss this golden opportunity to present his/her results and discuss them with peers from other countries and continents. We believe that this Conference will be also an unique platform for exchange of experience and promotion of Family Medicine world-wide.

This integrated training consist of three simultaneous, interrelating trainings, Integrated Management of Pregnancy and Childbirth (IMPAC), Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI), and Child Right (CR). And will uniquely train 30 student leaders form different parts of the world to provide holistic and integrative understanding, knowledge, and skills of IMPAC, IMCI, and Child Rights, and maternal and child health issues. They also will develop strategic plans to improve IMPAC, IMCI and CR implementation, advocate maternal, perinatal and child health issues, and manage public health projects in their respective regions and countries.


Study Session on "Health and Human Rights of Migrants with Special Emphasis on Undocumented Migrants in Europe""

 

 Strasbourg, France

May 2 -8, 2005

 

The aim of this session is to provide young leaders all over Europe with the knowledge and means to address the issue of (undocumented) migrants and their health.

 

This will be achieved through lectures by experienced staff of relevant NGOs, human rights education and familiarization with the intercultural learning process.

 

The study session aims to empower them to develop relevant future activities in this field.

Important:

 

1. IFMSA-NMOs and organizations/institutions can each apply with only one male and one female candidate. The preparatory team aims to achieve an even gender distribution among participants. 

 

2. Council of Europe covers all Study Session's expenses including the travel expenses of its participants to Strasburg, France.

 

3. Study Session dates: May 2 (arrival) - 8 (departure), 2005

 

4. Deadline for applications: Each applicant should send at studysession@ifmsa.org his/her fulfilled application form and support letter from his/her organization beforeJanuary 12th, 2005
