IFMSA SCORA and World AIDS Day! A Never Ending Story…

Since its establishment, the Standing Committee on Reproductive Health including AIDS, SCORA, is acting worldwide to improve reproductive health and its delivery, effectively serving medical students and communities through training, raising awareness campaigns and advocacy. Being young and caring about the future and our enthusiasm are our values that keep us on our way…

Long time ago, we have realized that HIV/AIDS will emerge to be on of the greatest world reproductive health related problems and it shall continue to be one of the most dangerous killers of all!

And so, as an international ongoing project, our committee keeps its promise by orchestrating several events in almost all of its member countries, with paying respect to different cultural and social differences..

Activities are carried out every year by medical students who formulate SCORA in there NMO both locally, regionally and nationally, and eventually global action is reached through "Thinking Globally and Acting Locally"!

Activities in form of fundraising events, awareness campaigns, concerts, competitions, poster displays and much more are carefully designed every year with adoption of the World AIDS Day theme of the year and full cooperation with several NGOs and UN Agencies.

We in SCORA, consider the World AIDS Day as our anniversary around which our entire SCORA year evolves and through which we share the world wide concern on the emerging life threat that is knows to the world as AIDS!
